Wishing Weather

This painting started as a photo I took of the grandaughter of a friend of mine. She was maybe 8 or 9. I love this age because it is at the threshold of life’s possibilities. Everything is “about” to happen, but hasn’t happened yet. She holds a couple of dandelion seed heads, ready to make a wish and blow.

20″ x 16″ acrylic media on wood. Signed on verso.
