Recompose came about after a visit to a local estate sale shop. ‘Shop’ is a kind word, it was really a room filled with jumbles of objects, vaguely sorted into categories like ‘doorknobs’ ‘lampshades’ ‘doll parts’ etc. In a wheel barrow in the back I found a pile of sun bleached cow bones. When I picked one up, it smiled at me, so I bought it and turned it into a sculpture. The title refers to reincarnation.
Cow bone with added bisque, epoxy resin and polymer assemblage, painted with acrylic. The sculpture is housed in a 9″ x 12″ x 6′ lucite box. Ready to hang.
Recompose is available in my studio.
