Art Series Producer/Curator

Jay Gillespie, surfer and former Venice street artist, manages the trendy venue, The Six,  in the heart of Old Town Calabasas. Jay and I coordinated a series of monthly art exhibitions we called “Art@The Six” featuring the works of professional artists from the Los Angeles and Valley areas. Jay and I hosted openings for each new show featuring  specialty cocktails and live jazz in its clubby back room,”The Bourbon Room,” named for its distinctive Makers Mark chandelier and speakeasy decor. Several celebrities have discovered this establishment over the months and have been spotted enjoying the atmosphere, music, and art at these events.

Jay and I are both creative West Valley denizens yearning to see more great art make its way to our part of the world, so this collaboration to bring renowned LA artists and art exhibitions to the heart of Calabasas was a labor of love for both of us.

The artists who contributed their works to these exhibitions are very exciting and dynamic members of the Los Angeles art scene who show in popular galleries and publications throughout the LA metro area, and around the country.
