Girl Watchers
This was a scene I glimpsed in passing while visiting Havana, Cuba. Two men sitting on a stoop, killing time on a boring day by checking out the women passing by. This is a scene that could have taken place anywhere, underscoring the cultural similarities of people hanging out together, rather than our differences. I wanted to create a sense of time passing by adding a swish of movement in the legs like a camera blur catching the men shifting positions.
